Design a Business Card Using Canva !!!

hey everybody this is Mark from PC classes online dot com I'm so glad that
you're with me today because
I'm gonna teach you how to make a business card using camera dot com Design a Business Card Using Canva !!! now if you've never used camber than I suggest that you push pas on this video
and you watchin this one instead because this
video will teach you the basics of how to get in an out in using the tools
that are built in the can for but if you're kinda familiar with how to use it
then let's jump right in because I'm gonna show you how to design
a vertical business card using camber in
what'd redesign one that I made in the past for a great client name Andre
best printing company Ballard his
a great guy a lot of fun to work with and these cards came out really nice let
me show you what the end result gonna look like
this is what the card looks like this was actually a
card he would use at book signings because he just finished his first book
a few months ago
and he did to have a particular tool to given
to put into people's hands hard to remind them who he was and how to get in
touch with them
and that kinda thing so on one side has a picture was booking on the other side
has
little bit details about him in some contact information so
that's what we're gonna make today so without any further ado let's jump
right into it the first thing you want to do is you want to log in the camber
dot com
hopefully not to do that by now and then when it comes up to this page the page
you always start with
and ask you to create design ordered shoes
a template they're going to use for your design
and normally you would click this big plus button right here
it would open up its gonna show you all the different choices they have built in
right here is business card and typically if your gonna do a horizontal
business card this is a perfect place to start
but we're gonna do it vertical card instead of horizontal
and right now thus far as I know camera doesn't have a
vertical card template built-in so we're gonna have to put in
our dimensions manually and a standard business card size
here in the US is three and a half inches by
two inches now I don't know the conversion to centimeters
or whatever so someone's gonna have to help me with that one but what we're
doing
does we're gonna go up here to the top we're gonna click used
custom dimensions and we're going to change this from pixels to
inches and then we're going to put in the size that we need now
because a business card specifically is going to be printed
a good printer is gonna need what's called bleed area
or extra area outside the regular
size so they can trim it and have color all the way to the edges
so instead of putting three and a half by two we're gonna have to put a little
bit have a different number
and this is a standard number four any good printer
so for the width love this card we're gonna say two point

box keys me will have a two-point
one
and then for the height
were gonna say

slut
just gives a little bit %uh extra room for bleed
dahmer click design when it comes back up its gonna how
our campus ready four straight here ever gonna do a two-sided cards I'm gonna go
ahead right away and I'm a click add a new page
because we're gonna have two pages right here the front and the back
homers zoom in just a little bit so that we can see what we're doing
fatal zips article too far and then
the first thing I'm gonna do is we're gonna work on the front of the car let
me just a reminder at the front looks like
the front is gonna be rate you're going to have those background with the books
at Nana
and then the Barnes and Noble logo and the doesn't amazon dot com logo right
here
the front can actually be really easy to make the back to be a little more
complicated so we'll jump into that pretty quickly
such a back over here the first thing we need to do is put our background in
there
some legal right up here too uploads kinda party got my pieces in here and
here's my background
so quick that popped right in there just need to make a little bigger to
fill the space by grab in the corners they're going up the background and then
here's the book that we have already cut out as a
transparent PNG cyclic not there's our book
resize it just a little bit remember that this card is gonna be trimmed at
the printer so you don't have things really close to the edge
because I'll get rimmed of
so we'll do something like that my move down a little bit
by the way little triggers if you're trying to drag it with your mouse that
works too but it seems to pop to places you don't really want sometimes
so if you just click it once and then use your eros
arrow keys to move around a little give you are smaller movements
so that's about right the money to put the Amazon and Barnes & Noble locals and
there's a lot going click
Barnes and Noble
and that's pretty much
we need for the front that's pretty easy plus job to the back here
now on the back again let's go back and look at what we're trying to make
we have a circle with Andres picture on it and you notice it also has a white
circle and the yellow circle there
that's gonna be important as we work through sees got a wooden background
which is the same one that's right here
I just closer there we've got all the details about him
and some pictures the bottom along with the chalkboard
on back on here that's inside a large circle frame that goes all the way out
here
an enormous that it also has a yellow circle behind it
so that's where we're headed let's go back over here
and at some point to the video hell I'm gonna go ahead and stop talkin speeded
up a little bit so that you can keep up but
I'll stop and give you details when they're necessary as we go
so I think the first thing we're gonna put in here's the background so
here's my background comic a little bigger just so it
make sure you cover the background their move it up to a private here
someone here I'm not going to worry about the fact that it's not
are covering the whole back on because it's going to cover by that large circle
down here
next thing a man do summer put in a circle frame input Andres face in it
there
from this picture so what I need to do for circle frame is go to layouts
I'm sorry excuse me search and then frames
then go down and grab the
circle frame which is right here and we're gonna make a little smaller
something probably like that
and you see it automatically pops to the center did make a center which is great
this is drag a photo in here or upload your own we're gonna drag a photo from
my uploads
to drag it over there when we get to reset that circle
to pop it into the circle together let go
and then if we had crop we can with him down a little bit Serina click crop
can move down until his face in their work should be
and then click the check mark right here that's pretty good
and now we need to put to other circles under there a white circle
and
and a kinda yellow sir
and the next thing we need to do is put the text in here
and then there's four pictures across the bottom and in the very last piece
for the news that large
arc that goes through here and the reason we're doing the are cool last
is because whenever you use a frame
in this case is circle frame and you drop something in it putting things on
top a bit is impossible because
if you'd put if you try to put extra thing on top
I'll the framer the circle in this case I wanna be a drag something over there
automatically get sucked into that circle into the frame and it's very hard
to deal with we're going to the frame last and then move it back was behind
everything
so let's do mom our bottom pictures will do that next
hammer go back up to frames I'm gonna drag
out just a standard little a rectangle frame here
we're gonna make it smaller discoduck on a high ball what size it might be
let's do something like that and then gonna drop it here
when a cop in a couple times
and now all I need to do is drag def
Schurz into those frames let me go back up to my uploads
an ominous to start dragon pictures into those frames
and normally I would mess around with AUB cropping them and moving them to
different sizes but I'm not to do it for this illustration just for a second time
and then will do are taxed
all rights on now we're going to put in the last thing and that's that large
circle frame with the chalkboard background in this all gonna look
like it's coming together so what we want to do is wanna go up to search
again
when I got two frames and then we're gonna go and find a circle frame again
this one right here
I'm gonna drag
out quite large make a little bigger than our
right there
there were gonna go to our uploads and grab the background and drop it into
their
send back all the way behind everything
there is no
a number almost done all we need is another couple circles back there
and there we are we've got the front and the back
